Frequently Asked Questions
Why have EnduraGreen labels changed?
EnduraGreen was previously offered under the Mohawk label and is now part of the FinishWorks product portfolio. This transition reflects an effort to improve efficiency, consistency, and long-term support. Product formulations, performance standards, and technical service remain unchanged.
Does EnduraGreen spray differently than solvent-based coatings?
Yes. Waterborne coatings have higher surface tension than solvent systems, which can require minor adjustments to fluid pressure, air assist, or tip selection to achieve optimal atomization. When properly set up, they spray consistently and efficiently using standard professional finishing equipment.
What solvents or reducers are required?
None. EnduraGreen waterborne coatings do not require solvent-based reducers and are designed to be applied as supplied. When adjustment is needed, clean water is typically used in accordance with product-specific guidelines.
Is cleanup and maintenance different from solvent products?
Yes. Waterborne coatings are cleaned primarily with water, reducing the need for solvents, but they require timely flushing to prevent dried material buildup. Equipment should be drained thoroughly after cleanup to minimize corrosion and maintain consistent performance.
What spray equipment is EnduraGreen compatible with?
Standard professional finishing equipment, including:
• Air-Assisted Airless
• Airless
• HVLP
• HVLP Airless
Stainless steel fluid passages and proper material compatibility are recommended for long-term equipment performance.
